Editorial policy
How vardenis.online is written, checked and funded, and what we will not do.
Who writes
Articles are written and reviewed by Robert Martin, responsible editor, on behalf of the publisher, DAMET-IZOLACE STAVEB spol. s r.o.. Every article carries a byline, a publication date and a “last reviewed” date. We do not publish anonymous articles or content written by advertisers.
How facts are established and sourced
- Primary sources first. Product features, plans and terms come from the vendor’s own published pages and documents, which we cite and date.
- Independent sources for quality claims. Statements about protection quality rely on independent testing laboratories such as AV-TEST and AV-Comparatives, or on public-sector guidance (ENISA, national cyber-security agencies), never on vendor marketing alone.
- Verify or hedge. If we cannot verify a claim, we either leave it out or clearly attribute it (“the vendor states…”). We do not invent statistics, specifications, test scores or prices.
- Sources listed. Every article ends with a list of the sources used.
- Vendor information prevails. Products change. Where our article and the vendor’s current information differ, the vendor’s information applies, and we say so on the page.
How the site is funded
vardenis.online is free to read and is funded by partner (affiliate) links. If you buy a product after clicking a link marked “Partner link”, the publisher may receive a commission from the vendor or its affiliate network. This costs you nothing extra. We may also promote pages through paid search advertising. We do not accept payment for favourable coverage and we do not sell articles.
How we disclose this:
- a disclosure bar at the top of every page;
- a disclosure box directly below the headline of every article containing partner links, before any promotional content;
- a “Partner link” label on every commercial button, and a commission note beneath it;
- all commercial links are marked
rel="sponsored nofollow"for search engines.
What we refuse to do
- No fake testimonials. We don’t publish invented “reader stories”, made-up user quotes or fabricated reviews.
- No invented ratings. We don’t display star ratings, scores or awards unless they come from a named, verifiable source.
- No artificial urgency. No countdown timers, “only today” claims or fake stock or availability warnings.
- No guaranteed-result claims. We never claim that any product guarantees complete protection, a faster computer or any other specific result.
- No scare tactics. No fake virus warnings, alarming pop-ups or invented threat statistics.
- No hidden advertising. Commercial links are always labelled.
Independence from advertisers
Vendors and affiliate networks do not write, review or approve our articles before publication. A vendor paying a commission does not buy a positive assessment: we describe limitations, alternatives (including free ones such as Microsoft Defender) and cases where a reader may not need a product at all. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the brands we cover.
Corrections procedure
- Email info@vardenis.online with the page address and the passage you think is wrong, ideally with a source.
- We aim to acknowledge reports within five working days and to check them against primary sources.
- If we confirm an error, we correct the page, update its “last reviewed” date and, for significant factual corrections, add a dated correction note to the article.
- If we decide not to change the text, we will tell you why.
